Sarfaraz (Saf) was born and brought up in High Wycombe, is married with three school-age children and works for a Wycombe-based specialist Electronic Engineering company.
Saf has represented Terriers & Amersham Hill since 2015, first on Wycombe District Council and then on Buckinghamshire Council from 2021.
He has served in a number of roles on the Council, including as Chairman of the High Wycombe Town Committee and other Committees and Working Groups. He currently serves as Chairman of Buckinghamshire Council.
Sarfaraz served as Mayor of High Wycombe from 2018-19, raising over £27,000 through the Mayor’s Appeal for a Charity which helps disabled children play sport.
Away from his council duties, Saf serves as a governor of Hamilton Academy and John Hampden Grammar School, a trustee of the One Can Trust, a member of the High Wycombe Branch of the Royal British Legion and Wycombe Environment Centre. He is also an Executive Member of a Self-Help Bereavement Society and a senior member of 'WE' Wycombe Environment which is responding to the joint climate and wildlife emergencies.
