I moved to Marlow in 1978 attended schools in Marlow & Wycombe. Went to college in Henley-on-Thames.
I have worked in the Telecommunications industry for over 30 years and have held a wide range of roles including Sales Director.
Have been actively involved in the local community and was chairman of Marlow Round table
I was originally elected for Greater Marlow Ward in 2001 on Wycombe District Council, serving as Deputy Leader of Wycombe District Council from 2015 to 2020. This involved community engagement and working with our diverse community to build cohesion.
I then served on the new Buckinghamshire Unitary Council from 2021-2025 representing Chiltern Villages, and served as Chairman of the South West Chiltern Community Board and Vice chairman of the Licensing Committee, and sat on the Finance & Resources Select Committee before being appointed as Deputy Cabinet Member for transport.
I have also been a parish councillor for Marlow Bottom since 2011.
One of my passions is education, specifically supporting children who have specific learning difficulties which comes from my own personal experience as I am Dyslexic and was only diagnosed at the age of 14 years old. Other passions include dealing with homelessness and its causes, protecting the green belt and our area of outstanding natural beauty, and delivering a first-class broadband experience to all residents in both Town and Rural settings, youth engagement within our local democracy, low council taxes and pushing to ensure all council services are first class and fit for purpose.
