A very merry Christmas to everyone in Wycombe.
There is a great deal in our country and in our District of which we can be rightly glad and proud, despite our present troubles. Much of this came to the fore in 2012.
Once again, the public response to Her Majesty's Jubilee was overwhelmingly positive. The Olympics and Paralympics were astonishing sporting successes and they also demonstrated the brilliance of the British construction and service sectors. Our temendous armed forces stepped in with resilience and good cheer where necessary. Those with reasoned doubts soon found themselves over-run with goodwill and sheer joy.
Employment is up and despite doubts about 'The Big Society' as a slogan, in reality the British public are now, as they always have been, there for one another in times of trouble.
Britain today is great and ever will be. Merry Christmas.
